Rob Simmons

Founder, Transition Zone Coaching

Rob Simmons is an experienced educator, International School athletic director, and basketball coach with over 20 years of leadership in schools. His career has taken him across the globe, working in diverse educational settings where he has built athletic programs, developed coaching staff, and mentored students both on and off the court.

As a former school administrator and International School athletic director, Rob understands the unique challenges international schools face—especially in times of transition, reduced resources, or shifting priorities. That insight led him to launch Transition Zone Coaching, a service-driven platform designed to support schools in building strong, sustainable athletic programs.

Through Transition Zone Coaching, Rob works directly with athletic directors, school leaders, and coaching staff to offer strategic planning, professional development, and high-impact basketball and sports programming. His goal is to help schools elevate their athletic culture, better support student-athletes, and create long-term success—no matter their size or circumstance.

Rob is passionate about mentorship, practical leadership, and helping schools unlock their full potential through sport. Whether he's running a coaching clinic, leading a player development camp, or supporting the design of a new sports academy, Rob brings focus, energy, and a deep commitment to growth.
